The State Office of Aging has received federal funds to assist with the Sage Plus
Program. This program will assist the Hawaii State Health Insurance Program (SHIP)
to provide members with Medicare for face to face comparison and enrollment in
Medicare Health and Drug plans through community events, as well as to maximize the
utilization of existing community services and resources.
Enclosed is a bill for an ordinance amending the Operating Budget by increasing the
total appropriation in the Coordinated Services account by $30,000, bringing the total
appropriation to $130,000.
If there are any questions, please do not hesitate to call Darren Takiue of the
Department of Parks and Recreation at 961 -8560.
