Enclosed is a resolution accepting a monetary donation of $1,000 from the Hawaii Police
Athletic Foundation, P. O. Box 22623, Honolulu, HI 96823. The Police Department
indicates that this equipment will be used to purchase materials such as brochures and
pamphlets to educate the public on crime prevention and the fight against drugs in the
County of Hawaii.
Also enclosed is a bill for an ordinance amending the Operating Budget by appropriating
the funds into the Hawaii Police Department Administration Division's "Other Current
Expenses" (OCE) account.

A. REQUEST:
To accept a donation of $1,000.00 from Hawaii Police Athletic Federation to purchase materials such as
brochures and pamphlets to educate the public on crime prevention and the fight against drugs under
account number 010 - 201 - 5203.02.225.
B. BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION (USE ADDITIONAL SHEETS AS NEEDED):
The Hawaii Police Athletic Federation is donating funds in which the HPD will use monies to educate the
public on the prevention of crime and drug use in the County of Hawaii. The materials will include
educational items such as brochures and pamphlets.

our annual grants to the 4 county police departments.
