SUBJECT: Discussion and Formation of an Ad Hoc Committee Relating to Legislative
Tracking
Pursuant to Hawai`i Revised Statutes §92 -2.5 "Permitted interactions of members" and Council
Rule No. 7 Ad Hoc Committees, I request formation of an Ad Hoc Committee. The committee
will be limited in scope to review and track legislation being proposed during the 2012 State
Legislative Session, and provide a report to the Governmental Relations Committee immediately
preceding the State Legislature's 2012 first crossover deadline, to allow for Council testimony
and /or advocacy.
I request 45 minutes for this discussion and creation of the ad hoc committee and selection of its
members. Please place this matter on the first scheduled Governmental Relations Committee
agenda of 2012.
