CALL TO ORDER STATEMENTS FROM THE PUBLIC ON ITEM(S)ON THE AGENDA REFERRAL(S) Comm. 519: AUTHORIZES THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO A MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING (Res. 210-12) WITH THE RESEARCH CORPORATION OF THE UNIVERSITY OF HAWAII(RCUH) WITH RESPECT TO AN EVALUATION OF THE DRUG,ALCOHOL AND TOBACCO PREVENTION PROGRAM(DAT) DAT is a program to prevent underage consumption of drug,alcohol,and tobacco by school-age children, and is administered by the County of Hawai`i's Department of Liquor Control. A Memorandum of Understanding between the County of Hawaii and RCUH,who will conduct a study of the DAT program to measure its effectiveness, is needed to accomplish and fund this study.
