Dear Chairman Yagong and Council Members:
It is my pleasure to nominate Joseph K. Kealoha of Council District 9 to the County of Hawaii
Liquor Control Adjudication Board. Mr. Kealoha is a lifelong resident of Hawai'i. He retired from
the Hawai'i County Police Department in 2004, after 28 years of service. He presently works as a
Police Reserve Officer.
Mr. Kealoha served as a member of the 2009 Hawai'i County Charter Commission. He is currently
a member of the Hawaiian Homes Association, and a board member of Puukapu Homesteads. He
states that he is not affiliated with any political party. If confirmed, he will serve a term to expire on
December 31, 2016.
