It is my pleasure to nominate James "Kimo" Lee of Council District 2 to the County of
Hawaii Fire Commission. Mr. Lee is a lifelong resident of Hawaii. Since 2006, he has
been employed by WH Shipman, Ltd. as the Director of Development. Mr. Lee
presently serves on the State of Hawai'i Burial Council, and the County of Hawai'i
Workforce Investment Board. He is a committee member of Hospice of Hawai'i and the
Catholic Church's Land Asset Committee.
Mr. Lee states that he is not affiliated with any political party. He was nominated and
confirmed to this position in 2010, to serve the remainder of a term that ended on
December 31, 2011. He is therefore eligible to serve a new full term, and if confirmed,
that tenure will expire on December 31, 2016.
