Recycling Grant Program on the January 31, 2012 Com ittee of nvironmental
Management.

Due to the concerns that were presented at the January 20, 2012, Council Meeting, the Council
postponed Resolution No. 202 -12 to the call of the Chair. This resolution is relating to a multi-
year contract for services of hauling of recyclables materials from County transfer stations.
During the course of the discussion a diversion grant program was mentioned as a possible
alternative to the services described in Resolution No. 202 -12.
I would like to request time for the Council to discuss this option during the January 31, 2012,
Committee of Environmental Management. I estimate that 45 minutes will be sufficient for this
discussion.
