Your Committee on Public Works and Parks and Recreation, to which was referred Bill 169,
reports as follows:
Bill 169, transmitted by Director of Public Works, Warren W. H. Lee, transmitted via
Communication No. 527, dated December 23, 2011, amends Chapter 24, Article 10, Division 4
(Pedestrians), Section 24-276, Schedule 24 (Crosswalks), paragraph (e) (Kohala), be amended by
adding a new item and renumbered as required:
"( ) Paniolo Avenue, three hundred forty feet southwest of Hooko Street."
This amendment was generated by a request to provide an additional crosswalk to
address the pedestrian traffic generated by the Waikoloa Elementary School.
Your Committee on Public Works and Parks and Recreation is in accord with the purpose and
intent of Bill No. 169, and recommends its passage on first reading.
