Dear Chairman Yagong and Council Members:
It is my pleasure to nominate Carol S. Kitaoka of Council District 7 to the County of
Hawaii Fire Commission. Ms. Kitaoka is a lifelong resident of Hawai'i. She is currently
a Deputy Prosecutor with the County of Hawai'i Prosecutor's Office in Kona.
Ms. Kitaoka is a member of the Hawai'i State Bar Association, the West Hawai'i Bar
Association, the Red Cross West Hawai'i Advisory Council, the American Red Cross
Hawai'i Chapter, and the Hawai'i County Status of Women Advisory Committee.
Ms. Kitaoka states that she is a Democrat. If confirmed, she will serve a term that will'
expire on December 31, 2015.
