Subject: Presentation by the Hawai`i County Police Department in regard to the
"Take -Home Police Radio"
Since the Council passed Resolution 78 -11 on June 15,2011 to establish the "Take -Home Police
Radio" policy, due diligence should require a follow -up to determine the status of this policy.
Therefore, I have requested the Hawai`i County Police Department to make a presentation and
update the Human Services, Social Services, and Public Safety Committee on this matter.
I would like to request a 30 minute presentation to be scheduled for February 14, 2012 in the
Human Services, Social Services, and Public Safety Committee.
