It is my pleasure to nominate Theresa L. Andreae of Council District 8 to the Kailua
Village Design Commission. She is a 32 -year resident of Hawaii. From 1992 to 1998,
she was a teacher /director at Hawaii Montessori Schools. Ms. Andreae has been
active in the Kona Outdoor Circle and Kona Historical Society. She was previously a
member of this commission from June 2006 to December 2007.
Ms. Andreae states that she is not affiliated with any political party. If confirmed, she
will replace Eugene Power, whose term will end on December 31, 2012. Since
Ms. Andreae will be serving a remaining term that is less than two years, she will be
eligible to succeed herself for an additional full term of three years, which will end on
December 31, 2015.
