Subject: Truth in labeling GMO foods
Aloha,
I would like to voice my strong support for labeling of GMO food products, not only here in Hawaii but
nationwide. Although the long -term health effects of such foods is unknown, I believe people have the
right to know what is in their food, whether it was grown organically, etc. Laws regarding the labeling
of organically grown foods exist and this falls into the same category. It is deceitful to sell produce that
has been created genetically without at least telling consumers what they will be putting into their
bodies.
