"MOM 7OU KC 12 AEI 8: 16 Page 1 of 1 Several times during my oral testimony (Wednesday) for the labeling of GMO ingredients in foods I looked up from my notes to to find each of you listening to what I had to say. Thank you for hearing me and the others giving testimony on Wednesday. I also thank you for voting to include GMO labeling resolution in the HSAC package. Given the ever - increasing and alarming health risks posed by GMOs, the mounting scientific evidence, and the ever - increasing amounts of herbicides and pesticides needed to combat adaptive weeds, I consider the proliferation of GMO crops to be one of, if not the, greatest healthcare issue our country faces. You demonstrated your intelligence and compassion by voting in favor of GMO labeling. Unfortunately the Oahu Council did not vote in favor. I hope that they change their minds, because as the evidence continues to emerge out about GMOs, they may have a heavy conscience for the damage they support at the behest of biotech persuasion. Thank you again for your aloha to try to make Hawai'i pono. Sincerely, Jack A. Weber cl, .vd,1nm A\ cbcr, I..sAc., Di )1.
