SUBJECT: TRAFFIC CODE AMENDMENT:
SECTION 24-275.1 - PUBLIC ROAD TAXI STAND LOCATION
We request the Hawai'i County Code, Chapter 24, Article 10 (Schedules), Division 3 (Bus Stops
and Public Road Taxi Stands), Section 24-275.1, Schedule 23.1 (Public road taxi stand
locations), subsection (f) (Kona) be amended by revising existing item:
(1; Kaahumanu Place, beginn-ing-froma-point--twenty-two-feet-north-of-ti entrt n€e t42-the
Kaiiva Pier, exteRd+ng-+north-fe-F-ad+stanoe- thill;y-two-feet.--Two-parallel-parkin-4---stalls
will t.e established-in-this--location AT ITS WESTERN TERMINUS. IN THE FOUR
SIGNED AND MARKED STALLS, FROM 6:00 A.M. TO 6:00 P.M..`_______
This proposed amendment was generated due to a request by the Hawai'i Police
Department to increase the number of taxi stalls along Kaahumanu Place. Existing
conditions indicate that there is a need for the additional taxi stalls in the subject area.
A location map is attached for your reference.
