Dear Councilmember Hoffmann:
I urge you to support Resolution 171 -11 in support of a Hawaii County Complete Streets
Policy. This Resolution is an important step towards strengthening our Big Island
communities. Complete Streets help to make it safer for everyone to get to where they need
to go, whether they are walking, riding a bike, driving a car or riding the bus. In
addition, complete streets help to provide access to physical activity and will help to
provide greater mobility choices for our keiki and kupuna.
Making alternative modes of transport safe and easy are a critical to reducing our
dependance on imported fuels.
I strongly urge you to vote in support of Resolution 171 -11.
