Friends of Puna's Future would like to thank Chairperson Yagong and the Council fvw4'
their continued efforts to create a grant -in -aid program for Hawaii County, to provide a
means for allocating fuel tax revenue to the non- profit organizations of the county for the
purpose of road maintenance. We applaud the timely formation of the ad hoc committee
referred to in Resolution 321 -10, and urge the Council to consider members of the
public for service on that committee. Furthermore, considering the amount of time and
energy Friends of Puna's Future has spent working to support this effort, and our
familiarity with the issues surrounding it, we would like to request consideration that one
of our own board members be permitted to serve on that committee.
