Dear Committee Chair Pilago : I have been scuba diving in the waters of most of the
Hawaiian Islands since 1979. There used to be thousands of reef fish that I would see on
each dive. Now it is just decimated. No more large fish at all, and even the small ones
pale in comparison to the numbers I used to see. I don't come to Hawaii much any more due
to the barren reefs. Please STOP the aquarium trade from taking any more fish. I would
love to be able to show my children how wonderful the underwater world can be with a
healthy and intact reef system. Thank you,
