Comm. 557: AMENDS CHAPTER 24, ARTICLE 10, DIVISION 7 OF THE HAWAI‘I COUNTY CODE (Bill 179) 1983 (2005 EDITION, AS AMENDED), RELATING TO PARKING METER ZONES Changes the parking meter zone from a two-hour rate to an eight-hour rate at the Hawai‘i County Building located at 25 Aupuni Street, Hilo, to accommodate the public’s ability to attend meetings of the County Council, meet with County officials, and conduct other County business without leaving the facility to add more money into the meters. WITHDRAWN Comm. 559: AMENDS CHAPTER 24, ARTICLE 8, DIVISION 5 OF THE HAWAI‘I COUNTY CODE (Bill 180) 1983 (2005 EDITION, AS AMENDED), RELATING TO RESERVED PARKING AT COUNTY FACILITIES Redefines the responsibility of the Director of Public Works, eliminates the monthly rental charge paid by County employees and officials for parking stalls at three County buildings, establishes priorities for assigning reserved parking spaces, and eliminates any shifting of reserved parking privileges. H. Shipman, the funds will be used by the Parks and Recreation Department to purchase food and beverages for the Vulcan Baseball Clinic participants.
