SUBJECT: TRAFFIC CODE AMENDMENT:
SECTION 24-276 — CROSSWALKS
We request the Hawai'i County Code, Chapter 24, Article 10 (Schedules), Division 4
(Pedestrians), Section 24-276, Schedule 24 (Crosswalks), subsection (g) (Puna) be
amended by adding new item and renumbering as required:
( ) KAHAKAI BOULEVARD, TWO HUNDRED FORTY-TWO FEET NORTHWEST
OF PUNAWAI STREET.
The intent of this amendment is to identify the location of the new crosswalk fronting the
Keonepoko Elementary School. A part of this effort also includes the removal of an
existing crosswalk and stop sign adjacent to a horizontal curve on Kahakai Boulevard
southeast of Keonepoko Elementary School.
A location map is attached for your reference.
