SUBJECT: TRAFFIC CODE AMENDMENT:
SECTION 24-254 — SPEED LIMIT REVISIONS - GOVERNMENT BEACH ROAD
We request the Hawai'i County Code, Chapter 24, Article 10 (Schedules), Division 1
(Speed Limits), Section 24-254, Schedule 2 (20 mile per hour limit), subsection (g) Puna
be amended by adding new item and renumbering as required:
( ) GOVERNMENT BEACH ROAD, FROM PAYAYA FARMS ROAD TO ITS
NORTHWESTERN TERMINUS
The intent of this amendment is to update the Hawaii County Code to match existing
conditions and to designate a 20 mph speed limit for a portion of Government Beach
Road.
A location map is attached for your reference.
