SUBJECT: TRAFFIC CODE AMENDMENT:
SECTION 24-255 - SPEED LIMIT REVISIONS —ALII DRIVE
We request the Hawai'i County Code, Chapter 24, Article 10 (Schedules), Division 1
(Speed Limits), Section 24-255, Schedule 3 (25 mile per hour limit), subsection (f) Kona
be amended by adding new item and renumbering as required:
( ) ALII DRIVE, FROM THE PROPERTY LINE BETWEEN PARCELS 7-8-14:05
AND 7-8-14:06 TO MAKOLEA STREET.
The intent of this amendment is to lower the speed limit to 25 mph in a high pedestrian
area adjacent to Kahaluu Beach Park.
A location map is attached for your reference.
