SUBJECT: TRAFFIC CODE AMENDMENT:
SECTION 24-256 - SPEED LIMIT REVISIONS —ALI I DRIVE
We request the Hawai'i County Code, Chapter 24, Article 10 (Schedules), Division 1
(Speed Limits), Section 24-256, Schedule 4 (30 mile per hour limit), subsection (f)(1)
Kona be amended by revising existing item:
(1) Alii Drive, from Walua Road (vicinity of Kona Hilton Hotel) to LCamell- m lta-Th
THE PROPERTY LINE BETWEEN PARCELS 7-8-14:05 AND
7-8-14:06.
The intent of this amendment is to lower the speed limit to 30 mph in a high
pedestrian area adjacent to Kahaluu Beach Park.
A location map is attached for your reference.
