SUBJECT: TRAFFIC CODE AMENDMENT:
SECTION 24-256 - SPEED LIMIT REVISIONS —ALII DRIVE
We request the Hawai'i County Code, Chapter 24, Article 10 (Schedules), Division 1
(Speed Limits), Section 24-256, Schedule 4 (30 mile per hour limit), subsection (f) Kona
be amended by adding new item and renumbering as required:
( ) ALII DRIVE, FROM MAKOLEA STREET TO KAMEHAMEHA III ROAD.
The intent of this amendment is to lower the speed limit to 30 mph in a high
pedestrian area adjacent to Kahaluu Beach Park.
A location map is attached for your reference.
