SUBJECT: A Resolution Authorizing The Director Of Finance To Enter Into Negotiations For
The Acquisition Of A Portion Of The Parcel Identified As TMK: 7-6-015:023
Comprising Less Than 10,000 Square Feet In The Ahupua'a Of Holualoa 1st And
2nd, North Kona, Hawai`i Known As "Banyan's Beach" Pursuant To Chapter 2,
Article 42, Hawai`i County Code 1983 (2005 Edition, As Amended).
Attached, please find a resolution authorizing the Director of Finance To Enter Into Negotiations
For the Acquisition Of a Portion comprising less than 10,000 Square Feet In the Ahupua`a of
Holualoa, Hawai`i known as "Banyan's Beach."
I have requested waiver from Committee and would like this resolution to be placed on the April
4, 2012, Council agenda.

RE: Res.No. 240-12 : A Resolution Authorizing The Director Of Finance To Enter Into
Negotiations For The Acquisition Of A Portion Of The Parcel Identified As TMK: 7-6-
015:023 Comprising Less Than 10,000 Square Feet In The Ahupua'a Of Holualoa 1st
And 2nd, North Kona, Hawai`i Known As "Banyan's Beach" Pursuant To Chapter 2,
Article 42, Hawai`i County Code 1983 (2005 Edition, As Amended).
Pursuant to Section 2(g) of Rule 4 of the Rules of Procedure of the Council of the County of
Hawai`i, this written request is submitted with my approval that the above-referenced matter be
waived from the Committee on Finance to the full Council for immediate action. In reviewing
this matter, timely approval is crucial. It is therefore advantageous that approval is granted and
the matter be placed onto the next Council agenda for review. However, in the event this request
is denied, for whatever reason, I understand the matter shall be referred to the Committee on
Finance for placement on its future agenda.
