Your Committee on Public Works and Parks and Recreation, to which was referred Bill No. 201,
reports as follows:
Bill No. 201, from Public Works Director Warren H. W. Lee, transmitted via Communication
No. 611, dated February 24, 2012, amends Chapter 24, Article 10, Division 1, Section 24-257,
Schedule 5, 35 mile per hour limit, subsection(g)(3), by revising an existing item: "(3) Kahakai
Boulevard, from a point fifty eight feet northeast of Aama Street D„nuwa; Street to its
northeastern terminus at the makai end." This amendment revises the 35 mile per hour(mph)
speed limit area on Kahakai Boulevard to allow for the implementation of a new 25 mph area
fronting Keonepoko Elementary School.
Your Committee on Public Works and Parks and Recreation is in accord with the purpose and
intent of Bill No. 201, and recommends its passage on first reading.
