Comm. 654: SUPPORTS THE ACQUISITION OF SURPLUS FEDERAL LANDS AT UPOLU POINT,
(Res. 241-12) NORTH KOHALA, HAWAI`I
Authorizes the Mayor to apply to the Secretary of the Interior for and to secure the transfer to
the County,the subject Federal lands located in the North Kohala District, commonly known as
the Loran Station at Upolu Point(referenced in Exhibits A, B, and C, which are attached to this
resolution). These lands will provide continuous public vehicular access from Akoni Pule
Highway to the public vehicular access easements recently acquired over Kamehameha
Schools/Bishop Estates land and the Mo`okini Heiau and Kamehameha I Birthsite.
