Your Committee on Public Works and Parks and Recreation, to which was referred Bill No. 214,
reports as follows:
Bill No. 214, from Public Works Director Warren H. W. Lee, transmitted via Communication
No. 632, dated March 15, 2012, amends Chapter 24, Article 10, Division 1, Section 24-255,
Schedule 3 (25 mph limit), subsection (f), by adding a new item and renumbered as required:
"( ) Ali`i Drive, from the property line between parcels 7-8-014:005 and 7-8-014:006 to
Makole a Street."
This amendment is necessary to lower the speed limit to 25 mph in a high pedestrian area
adjacent to Kahalu`u Beach Park.
Your Committee on Public Works and Parks and Recreation is in accord with the purpose and
intent of Bill No. 214, and recommends its passage on first reading.
