Your Committee on Public Works and Parks and Recreation, to which was referred Bill No. 218,
reports as follows:
Bill No. 218, from Public Works Director Warren H. W. Lee, transmitted via Communication
No. 636, dated March 15, 2012, amends Chapter 24, Article 10, Division 1, Section 24-256,
Schedule 4 (30 mph limit), subsection (f), by adding a new item and renumbered as required:
"( ) Ali`i Drive, from Makolea Street to Kamehameha III Road."
This amendment is necessary because it revises the existing 30 mph limit area along Ali`i Drive
which is in a high pedestrian area adjacent to Kahalu`u Beach Park.
Your Committee on Public Works and Parks and Recreation is in accord with the purpose and
intent of Bill No. 218, and recommends its passage on first reading.
