A total of 99 eligible nonprofit organization program applications were received(referenced in Exhibit B). The total amount requested is$3,471,959. The preliminary budget appropriation for this fiscal year is$1,500,000. Serving the Interests of the People of our Island Hawai`i County is an Equal Opportunity Provider and Employer HSSPSC-21 Page 2 May 1, 2012 Comm. 591: NONPROFIT GRANT APPLICATIONS FOR FISCAL YEAR 2012-2013 From Finance Director Nancy Crawford, dated February 15, 2012, submitting for the Council’s review and appropriation of funds, the eligible applications from nonprofit organizations pursuant to Chapter 2, Article 25, Hawai‘i County Code. Seventy-two eligible organizations have submitted applications for a total amount of $3,438,459 in requested grants. Postponed: March 8, 2012 (Note: There is a pending motion by Ms. Ford and duly seconded by Mr. Blas, to close file on Comm. 591.) Comm. 591.1: REVISED NONPROFIT GRANT APPLICATIONS FOR FISCAL YEAR 2012-2013 From Finance Director Nancy Crawford, dated March 12, 2012, submitting for the Council’s review and appropriation of funds, two eligible applications which were not forwarded with the February 16, 2012 transmittal, as well as an amended list of Nonprofit Grant Applicants.
