Re: Operating Budget
Real property tax interest revenues are expected to exceed the amount budgeted in the
Real Property Tax (RPT) Interest account for FY 2011-12. Two percent of these
additional revenues are to be transferred to the Public Access, Open Space and Natural
Resources Preservation Fund. The current appropriation for the transfer account is
insufficient.
Enclosed is a bill for an Ordinance amending the Operating Budget by increasing the
appropriation of the Transfer to Public Access/Open Space Preservation Fund account
by $100,000. This estimate is high in order to ensure that there is sufficient
appropriation available to provide the Public Access, Open Space and Natural
Resources Preservation Fund with all monies it is due.
