CALL TO ORDER — 3:24 p.m. STATEMENTS FROM THE PUBLIC ON ITEM(S) ON THE AGENDA UNFINISHED BUSINESS Comm. 562.1: AD -HOC COMMITTEE RECOMMENDATIONS FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 2012 -13 APPROPRIATIONS FOR GRANTS TO NONPROFIT ORGANIZATIONS From Committee on Human Services, Social Services, and Public Safety Chair Angel Pilago, dated Aprils, 2012, submitting recommendations for the FY 2012 -13 appropriations for Grants to Nonprofit Organizations. A total of 99 eligible nonprofit organization program applications were received (referenced in Exhibit B). The total amount requested is $3,471,959. The preliminary budget appropriation for this fiscal year is $1,500,000. (Note: There is a pending motion by Ms. Ford and duly seconded by Mr. Blas, to close file on Comm. 562.1.) CLOSE FILE AND ACCEPT RECOMMENDATIONS TO BE INCOROPATED INTO BILL 197, THE OPERATING BUDGET FOR FY 2012 -13: HSSPSC -21 Comm. 591: NONPROFIT GRANT APPLICATIONS FOR FISCAL YEAR 2012 -2013 From Finance Director Nancy Crawford, dated February 15, 2012, submitting for the Council's review and appropriation of funds, the eligible applications from nonprofit organizations pursuant to Chapter 2, Article 25, Hawai`i County Code. Seventy -two eligible organizations have submitted applications for a total amount of $3,438,459 in requested grants. (Note: There is a pending motion by Ms. Ford and duly seconded by Mr. Blas, to close file on Comm. 591.)
