AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 24, ARTICLE 10, DIVISION 5 OF THE HAWAII
COUNTY CODE 1983 (2005 EDITION, AS AMENDED), RELATING TO PARKING.

SECTION 1. The purpose of this measure is to fulfill a request by the Hawaii Police
Department to provide a tow -away zone within an existing passenger loading zone area to
discourage motorists from misusing the loading zone.
SECTION 2. Chapter 24, Article 10, Division 5, Section 24-281, Schedule 29. Parkii g
prohibited during certain hours on certain streets; tow -away zone, subsection (f), Kona, Hawaii County
ti ode 1983 (2005 edition, as amended), is amended to read as follows:
(1) Kona
(1) Alapa Street, Kona Industrial Subdivision, from 2:00 a.m. to >:00 a.m.
(2) F,ho Street, Kona Industrial Subdivision, from 2:00 a.m. to 5:00 a.m.
(3) Kaiwi Street, Kona Industrial Subdivision, from 2:00 a.m. to 5:00 a.m.
(4) Kaleiopapa Street, mauka side, beginning at a point four hundred ten feet north of
'Ehukai Street and extending four hundred ten feet in the northerly direction. at ,ill
times, except between 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Tuesdays and Fridays.
(5) Kamanu Street, Kaloko Light Industrial Subdivision, from 10:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.zr,.
(6) Kanalani Street, Kaloko Light Industrial Subdivision, from 2:00 a.m. to 5:00 a.ni
(7) Kauhola Street, Kaloko Light Industrial Subdivision, from 2:00 a.m. to 5.00 a.m.
(8) Keanalehu Drive, 8:00 a.m. to 3 p.m. on school days.
(9) Lawehana Street, Kaloko Light Industrial Subdivision, front 2:00 a m. to 5:00
a.m.
(l 0) Luhia Street, Kona Industrial Subdivision, from 2:00 a.m. to 5:00 a.m.

(13) Pawai Place, Kona Industrial Subdivision, from 2:00 a.m. to 5:00 a.m.
(14) Puohulihuli Street, 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on school days.

SECTION 3. Material to be repealed is bracketed and stricken. New material is underscored. In
printing this ordinance, the brackets, bracketed and stricken material and underscoring need not be
included.
SECTION 4. Severability. If any provision of this ordinance, or the application thereof
to any person or circumstance, is held invalid, such invalidity shall not affect other provisions or
applications of the ordinance which can be given effect without the invalid provision or application,
and to this end, the provisions of this ordinance are declared to be severable.
SECTION 5. This ordinance shall take effect upon its approval.
