Hawai‘i County Council-42 April 24, 2012 MEMORIALS, CERTIFICATES OF MERIT, AND EXPRESSIONS OF CONDOLENCE STATEMENTS FROM THE PUBLIC REGARDING COMMUNICATION NO. 679 WILL COMMENCE FOLLOWING THE PRESENTATION BY THE PELE DEFENSE FUND APPROVAL OF MINUTES COMMUNICATIONS Comm. 679: SPECIAL MEETING OF THE HAWAI‘I COUNTY COUNCIL REGARDING RENEWABLE ENERGY DEVELOPMENT From Chairperson Dominic Yagong, dated April 16, 2012, informing the Members of the Hawai‘i County Council that a Special Meeting will be held on April 24, 2012, 6:00 p.m., at the Pāhoa High & Intermediate School Cafeteria. This special meeting will provide the community with the opportunity to participate in ongoing discussions regarding renewable energy development, more specifically, geothermal development/expansion. A presentation will be made by the Pele Defense Fund, which will be followed by public testimony. CLOSE FILE: AYES: Council Members Blas, Ford, Pilago, Smart, and Chair Yagong – 5. NOES: None. ABSENT: Council Members Hoffmann, Ikeda, Onishi, and Yoshimoto – 4. EXCUSED: None.
