Re: 2012 Hawaii High School County Council
The 2012 Hawaii High School County Council is comprised of junior and senior-year
students from Honoka`a High School, Kamehameha High School, Kea'au High School,
and Konawaena High School.
The students formulated legislation, submitted the legislation to their peers for review,
and then convened on May 10, 2012, to decide as a body whether or not to forward each
piece of legislation to the Hawaii County Council for review.
I have transmitted legislation approved by the 2012 Hawaii High School County Council
to you for your consideration for referral and further consideration by the Hawai`i County
Council. I respectfully request that these matters be considered by the Hawaii County
Council at the June 6, 2012.
I will be available at the June 6, 2012, Council meeting to provide a brief summary on the
2012 Hawaii High School County Council project and answer any questions.
Thank you.
