Re: Resolution Accepting Donation
Enclosed is a resolution accepting a donation of three used Class A Pumpers and two
1,500 gallon water tankers from the Honolulu Fire Department, 636 South Street,
Honolulu, HI 96813. This equipment was offered to the Hawaii Fire Department by the
Honolulu Fire Department when they received new apparatus. The Class A Pumpers will
be used as back up to our Fire Department's front line fleet, and the tankers will be used
to support wildland firefighting activities.

A. REQUEST:
Please prepare a resolution to accept a donation of five (5) used Fire Apparatus, three (3) Class A Pumpers
and two (2) 1500 gallon water tankers, from the Honolulu Fire Department, valued at $5000.00 per
apparatus. Additionally, send a letter of appreciation to:

B. BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION (USE ADDITIONAL SHEETS AS NEEDED):
These vehicles were offered by the Honolulu Fire Department as they were replaced by new apparatus in
their fleet. The pumpers will be utilized by the Hawai'i Fire Department as back-up to our front line fleet and
the tankers will be used to support wildland firefighting activities. These vehicles will be assigned island
wide, as needed.
