Your Committee on Public Works and Parks and Recreation, to which was referred Bill No. 244,
reports as follows:
Bill No. 244, transmitted by Public Works Director Warren H. W. Lee, via Communication
No. 690, dated April 13, 2012, amends Chapter 24, Article10, Division 6, Section 24-288,
Schedule 36 (Freight loading zones), subsection (c), South Hilo, by deleting item 11 and
renumbered as required:
"[(11) Kilauea Avenue, mauka side, beginning at Hail Street and extending forty four feet
in the Puna direction.]"
This amendment removes the freight loading zone installed fronting a business no longer in
existence thus allowing the Department of Public Works to add an ADA stall.
Your Committee on Public Works and Parks and Recreation is in accord with the purpose and
intent of Bill No. 244, and recommends its passage on first reading.
