Your Committee on Public Works and Parks and Recreation, to which was referred Bill No. 251,
reports as follows:
Bill No. 251, transmitted by Council Member Brittany Smart, via Communication No. 700, dated
April 25, 2012, amends Chapter 24, Article 11, Division 2, Section 24-310, Schedule 14 by
creating truck routes for certain roads within the Hawaiian Ocean View Estates subdivision.
Council Member Smart commented that the routes have already been established identifying the
only safe roads wide enough to accommodate big trucks and that this bill is necessary to insert
the routes into the County Code.
Your Committee on Public Works and Parks and Recreation is in accord with the purpose and
intent of Bill No. 251, and recommends its passage on first reading.
