SUBJECT: TRAFFIC CODE AMENDMENT:
PAHOA-KAPOHO ROAD — INAPPLICABLE 45 MPH SPEED LIMIT
We request the Hawai'i County Code, Chapter 24, Article 10 (Schedules), Division 1
(Speed Limits), Section 24-260, Schedule 8 (45 mile per hour limit), subsection (g) Puna
be amended by deleting item 3.
(3) Route 132, from Pohoiki Road junction to Route 137.
The intent of this amendment is to remove an inapplicable item from the Hawaii County
Code. This specific section of Route 132 (Pahoa-Kapoho Road) is currently signed as a
55 mph speed limit road.
