ACCIDENT OF NOVEMBER 3. 1972
From Earl T. Nakasato, Deputy Corporation Counsel,
dated September 6, 1974, informing that the claim
has been settled and submits releases executed by
(1) Kit K. Kubo and (2) Leslie Wung for filing with
the County Clerk's Office:

No. 161.3: STONEWALL OF MOKUAIKAUA CHURCH (C-161)
From Claire M. Marumoto, Deputy Corporation Counsel,
dated September 27, 1974, requesting the Council's
approval of the offer of settlement and appropriation
of $6,250 for payment to the Mokuaikaua Church to be
used in the restoration of their stone wall:

Office.

bench at the bus station where there was no sign posted:

September 26 1974, informing that the claim has been
settled for 45.00 and transmits for filing with the
Clerkts Office the release executed by the claimant:

No. 966: KOHALA CIVIC CENTER MASTER PLAN
From Councilman Ikuo Hisaoka dated August 22, 1974,
transmitting for information and action a copy of letter
from Philip Yoshimura to Mayor Bruce McCall dated
July 25, 1974, regarding the Kohala Civic Center Master
Plan:
966.1: From Councilman Hisaoka dated August 29, 1974, trans-
mitting for information a letter from Mr. Kenam Kim,
State Comptroller of the Department of Accounting and
General Services, dated August 28, 1974, informing of
the modifications of the North Kohala Civic Center
Master Plan. Informs that the modifications are acceptable
and believes the North Kohala Community Development
Association will submit a letter of concurrence to the
Council very shortly:
Concur with the recommendation of
the Planning, Research, Development &
Legislative Committee and request the
Director of Finance to transfer funds
for the project from the North Kohala
Recreational Facilities Improvements.

RESOLUTIONS
bill which establishes procedures for the disposition
of real property owned by the County of Hawaii:

No. 284: SALARY ORDINANCE AMENDMENT
Amends the salary ordinance for the Department of
Parks & Recreation (Recreation Division):

Approve and recommend adoption.
No. 2$5: SALARY ORDINANCE AMENDMENT
Amends the salary ordinance for the Planning Department:
(Intr. by: Mr. Hisaoka)
Approve and recommend adoption.
RECOMMENDATIONS
No. 1: MOTOR VEHICLE REGISTRATION
Refer to the Finance Director to look into the advisabi-
lity of revising the motor vehicle registration so that
the "model year" of the vehicle will not be confused
with the "year first sold.";

No. 2: REAL PROPERTY TAX RATE SCHEDULE
Recommend approval of the following schedule for the
setting of the real property tax rates, as suggested by
the Finance Director:
October 9, 1974 - Passage on first reading of the
resolution determining the real
property tax rates for the County
of Hawaii for the fiscal year
July 1, 1974, to June 30, 1975•

October 11, 1974 - Publication of notice setting
public hearing in the County

resolution.
