Dear Council Members:
It is my pleasure to submit for your confirmation the appointment of Mark Ow as County of Hawaii
Director of Information Technology,pursuant to the Charter of the County of Hawaii. Mr.Ow's
appointment was effective June 4,2012.
Mark Ow was formerly a Senior Network Engineer with Hewlett-Packard; Consulting
Engineer with Apple Computer; Technical Marketing Manager with AT&T; Senior
Manager with Dell Computers; Director with Microsoft; and Senior Manager with
Brocade Communications.
Mark returned to Hawaii to be closer to his family and was working for Time Warner
Cable as an Account Manager before accepting his new position with the County.
