RESOLUTION NO. 271 JL2
A RESOLUTION TO APPOINT A NEW HAWAII COUNTY COUNCIL
REPRESENTATIVE AND ALTERNATE REPRESENTATIVE TO SERVE ON THE
HAWAII STATE ASSOCIATION OF COUNTIES (HSAC) EXECUTIVE
COMMITTEE, AND APPOINT A NEW NOMINEE FOR DIRECTOR ON THE
WESTERN INTERSTATE REGION BOARD OF DIRECTORS.
WHEREAS, Resolution No. 231-12 adopted on March 21, 2012, appointed Council
Member K. Angel Pilago as the representative to serve on the Executive Committee of the
Hawaii State Association of Counties (HSAC) and Council Member Brittany Smart as his
alternate; and
WHEREAS, Resolution No. 231-12 also nominated Council Member K. Angel Pilago to
serve as a Director on the Western Interstate Region Board of Directors; and
WHEREAS, Council Member K. Angel Pilago wishes to withdraw his appointment as
the HSAC representative and his nomination for Director on the Western Interstate Region
Board of Directors; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that
Council Member Dennis "Fresh" Onishi be, and is hereby appointed as, its representative to the
Executive Committee of HSAC.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that Council Member Dennis "Fresh" Onishi is hereby
nominated to serve as a Director on the Western Interstate Region Board of Directors.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that Council Member K. Angel Pilago be, and is
hereby appointed as, the alternate to Council Member Dennis "Fresh" Onishi as the
Representative to the Executive Committee of HSAC.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this resolution shall supersede Resolution No. 231-
12, thus removing any force of effect as provided therein.
BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED, that the County Clerk transmit copies of this resolution
to the President and Secretary of HSAC.
