Ogin (4-year term): Mr. Ogin, a 30-year resident of the Big Island, has been active in the business community and is the president of Clark Realty Group, which is a Real Estate and Land Management Company. He has been active in community organizations such as the Kona Kohala Chamber, Rotary Club of Kona, Island of Hawaii YMCA as well as our County's own Kailua Village Design District Commission. Mr. Ogin's business insight and business community contacts bring a much-needed perspective to the Action Committee. o Hiram Rivera (4-year term): Mr. Rivera, a lifelong resident of Hawai'i County, resides in North Kona with his wife and family. He is a lineal descendent of the ahapua'a of Kahalu'u, his family's heritage extends over 200 years on the Island of Hawaii. Mr. Rivera was raised on a Kona coffee & macadamia nut farm, graduated from Konawaena High School, and is a past president of the Lion's Club. He is the owner of a site construction company locally based in Kona. Mr. Rivera's local knowledge of Kailua's past and present development will assist the Action Committee in determining its future. Council Chairman Dominic Yagong and Members June 15, 2012 Page 2 o George "Keoki" Schattauer (4-year term): Mr. Schattauer resides in South Kona with his wife and family, and is a member of the Paris family who settled in South Kona in the mid-1800's. He is a graduate of Konawaena High School, and has been involved with coffee and other agriculture activities. Mr. Schattauer received an associates degree in autobody painting and has two years of schooling in small business management. He currently works in property management for his families business, Schattauer Family Properties. Mr. Schattauer's family's historic ties to Kona will offer great insight to the Action Committee.
