HomeMy WebLinkAboutORD 2012-105 2010-2012COUNTY OF HAWAII STATE OF HAWAII BILL NO. 251 ORDINANCE NO. . _ 105 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 24, ARTICLE 11, DIVISION 2, SECTION 24- 310 OF THE HAWAII COUNTY CODE 1983 (2005 EDITION, AS AMENDED), RELATING TO TRUCK ROUTES ON PRIVATE STREETS. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII: SECTION 1. Chapter 24, article 11, division 2, section 24 -310, schedule 14 (Reserved), of the Hawai`i County Code 1983 (2005 Edition, as amended), is amended to read as follows: "Section 24 -310. Schedule 14. [dam] Truck routes. When properly sign posted, the following private streets or portions of private streets are designated as truck routes: Cal Hamakua fb,) North Hilo (c) South Hilo (d) Ka`u (1) Hawaiian Ocean View Estates Subdivision. 1. Any vehicle with a gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) of more than ten thousand pounds shall be restricted to the following street segments, until that vehicle reaches the intersection with the nearest subdivision road it can use to make a local delivery: (A) Aloha Boulevard from Highway 11 to its intersection with Marlin Boulevard. Q Marlin Boulevard from its intersection with Aloha Boulevard to its intersection with Kailua Boulevard. (C) Kailua Boulevard from its intersection with Marlin Boulevard to its intersection with King Kamehameha Boulevard. (D) King Kamehameha Boulevard from its intersection with Kailua Boulevard to its intersection with Highway 11. (e) Kohala (f) Kona (g) Puna" SECTION 2. Material to be repealed is bracketed and stricken. New material is underscored. In printing this ordinance, the brackets, bracketed material and stricken material and underscoring need not be included. SECTION 3. If any provision of this ordinance, or the application thereof to any person or circumstance, is held invalid, such invalidity shall not affect other provisions or applications of the ordinance which can be given effect without the invalid provision or application, and to this end, the provisions of this ordinance are declared to be severable. SECTION 4. This ordinance shall take effect upon its approval.
