Subject: Discussion and Formation of an Ad Hoc Committee Relating to Real Property
Taxes
Pursuant to Hawai`i Revised Statutes §92 -2. 5 "Permitted interactions of members" and Council
Rule No. 7 Ad Hoc Committees, I request formation of an Ad Hoc Committee. The committee
will be limited in scope to review and prioritize the recommendations contained in the Technical
Assistance Report Evaluating Property Tax Policies and Administrative Practices in Hawai`i
County, as found in Communication No. 641.
I request 30 minutes for the discussion and creation of the Ad Hoc Committee, including the
selection of its members. Please place this matter on the next scheduled Finance Committee
agenda.
