Attention: Hawaii County Council Members
Regarding: Proposed 14 unit apartment complex located in the 1600 block of
Kinoole Street.
I live at 16O0A Kinoole Street. Until a year ago, this neighborhood was
single-family. Now we are seeing multi-family development being
approved. We don't need such development out here. We don't want this
kind of development out here.
Traffic on Kinoole Street has increased dramatically over the past few years.
Adding 14 apartments along this street can only make matters worse. Also
the ingress and egress to the property would or could be hazardous.
I would not be opposed to construction of two, three, even four single family
homes, but mot 14 apartments.
The Planning Commission has erred in recommending approval of the
proposed development. Now it is up to the County Council to do the right
thing and deny this project as currently structured.
