Subject: Bill 256 710
I have lived in Leilani Estates for 28 years. I have been forced from my home by Geothermal
Blowouts and my sons were gased on the school bus coming from school. The community had
to sue the state and the health dept to get Ormet to use BACT. In 3 courts. They were dumping
there waste on the ground and blowing there toxins into the air. They now have a policy when
you work you have to sign a secrecy agreement. They are about making money and could care
less about protecting the community. Having said this. The fund for relocation should not be
gutted for other purposes. If the state and county were doing there job properly, health surveys,
proper monitoring I think more people who live close would be interested in leaving. The most
active volcano in the world, one of the hottest and most toxic geothermal sites in the world. Use
this money to protect the community and not fund pet projects for council cronies. Sincerly
