I want to know what is in food and other agricultural products I may buy. Period. If as the industry lobbyists claim there is no harm in GE/GMO products, then they have nothing to fear from labeling. If claims they make for positive benefits of GE/GMO products have any truth, then labeling is a benefit for them because people will be able to identify products with the benefits they claim. And, likewise, people who choose for whatever reasons to not buy GE/GMO products will have that choice. Labeling provides maximum choice and maximum benefit for all concerned. ,. It is that simple. If GE/GMO producers are afraid of labeling, I have to wonder why - and you ought to be wondering also. What do they have to hide?
