SUBJECT: RESOLUTION URGING THE HAWAII STATE LEGISLATURE TO
ADEQUATELY FUND BOTH THE HAWAII CAMPAIGN SPENDING
COMMISSION AND A STATEWIDE COMPREHENSIVE PUBLIC FUNDING
SYSTEM FOR ELECTIONS
Attached please find a resolution which urges the State of Hawaii Legislature to adequately fund
both the Hawaii Campaign Spending Commission and a statewide comprehensive public
funding system for elections upon reconvening for the 2013 session.
Please place this item on the appropriate Council Committee agenda for July 31, 2012.
