WHEREAS, RICHARD M. JITCHAKU demonstrated outstanding
qualities of leadership and responsiveness to the needs of
the County of Hawaii during his freshman term as a member
of the Board of Supervisors; and
WHEREAS, said RICHARD M. JITCHAKU's initiative and
sincere desire to enhance the welfare of the County of
Hawaii have contributed much towards the imaginative under-
takings
ndertakings of the County of Hawaii during his term as a member
of the Board of Supervisors since 1965; and
WHEREAS, his statesman-like, dedicated and selfless
efforts as a public servant have been acclaimed and should
be publicly acknowledged; and
WHEREAS, the County of Hawaii is deeply indebted and
appreciative for his able service to the citizenry of this
county,
NOW9 THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS
in and for the County of Hawaii that the said RICHARD M. JITCHAKU
be and is hereby extended the sincere appreciation of the people
of the County of Hawaii for his able services as a member of the
Board of Supervisors from January 2, 1965 to January 2, 19670
together with the grateful and sincere best wishes of this Board
of Supervisors for success in all of his future endeavors.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the County Clerk be and is
hereby authorized and directed to forward a copy of this
Resolution to the said RICHARD M. JITCHAKU.
