Your Committee on Public Works and Parks and Recreation, to which was referred Resolution
No. 252-12, reports as follows:
Resolution No. 252-12, transmitted by Mayor William P. Kenoi via Communication No. 711,
dated April 17, 2012, accepts a grant of an easement from the Terry Lynn Harrison Family Trust
for public access purposes.
Terry Lynn Harrison Family Trust is desirous of granting the County of Hawai`i a pedestrian
easement, which will provide public access laterally along the coast over the subject land in
Kapa'au and `Ainakea in North Kohala, TMK: (3)5-3-006:025.
Larry Brown, Planner V from the Planning Department informed your committee members that
the granting of this easement was part of a Board of Appeals settlement agreement reached in
2002.
Your Committee on Public Works and Parks and Recreation is in accord with the purpose and
intent of Resolution No. 252-12, and recommends its adoption.
